Bens not moved and he's still in Hampshire. He is a member of this forum as well as the yahoo group.

Anyone used the eBay dealer game room classics ?
Is it the one from Chorley ?
If so no worries on dealing with the guy. I know him personally and can say you won't have any prob's, he is one of the good guy's.

I have seen and played the Tron Pro and it is a stunner. Mint condition and plays like new just what you would expect from a HUO machine. You won't be disapointed if you go for it.

OK, leaving aside the facts that as it's on CL it's a scam (unless all those fantastic quality MM, AFMs are real and I've missed a bargain). I couldn't help feeling that this is what happens when you let your addiction get away a touch.

Any one know who the bloke in the last photo is? And more importantly how did he persuade his other half to let him have this many machines?

Has this hobby gone mad? £510 for a Super Mario Pinball with a very sparse description and no pictures at all on e-bay despite the ad saying they will be added and along with more information. I even mailed the seller as it wasn't too far from me but had no reply.

They don't appear to be stored alphabetically or in date order so I think his addiction has a bit further to go.
That is insane though, to have them stored like that. I want to go see them and marvel at how he has filed his pinballs like a record collection.

That's not collecting, more like hoarding. Stored like that they can't be played/enjoyed, just squirreled away like old magazines.

Pretty sure, that's the guy in the States who's trying to sell them on the fb group.... and now says he'll part out desired machines rather than sell the whole 150 in one go....

Yeah that was on last week. Some unnamed European buyer backed out of his day one purchases apparently so automated services said he was happy to have a couple of European spec games as part of the ones he bought

Also $7695 + $600 for shaker and invisiglass + VAT = $10'000 Ish before shipping and customs charges

Estimating $900 for crating, shipping and customs that's $11000, which stands you at £7000. For a non LE game. You can buy one off Phil for £5500

You could argue though that had he not 'hoarded' them over the years many would possibly have gone to the great pinball dump in the sky. In the mid 90s/pre internet boom say most of those would have been pretty much unwanted by operators and the collector market was tiny then. At least now there is a vibrant market for them and hopefully some/all will be saved and restored:)

Shame about the timing. My parents live in Alicante so I could have easily got them to go and view, but as it's the summer they're back in the UK right now.

Oh well, never mind. I don't really have space as yet anyway. And of course that presumes there even is a table to view.

Dibs.

Just in case of course. :p

Well worth pointing out though - some poor unsuspecting soul could be in for a nasty shock.
