In this condition as well. Seller is taking the p..s, by the bucket load, as playfield is down to bare wood in places

@Nedreud if this pile of doo doo is worth just under 1k then yours must be worth 2K ;)

Generally similar condition to mine except:
  • Wrong drop-targets on main playfield
  • Either wrong or totally worn X-Y-Z drop-targets on upper playfield
  • Incorrect 3" flipper on upper-playfield (although in fairness every VECTOR seems to have this mistake)
  • Bad playfield wear around 3K and 4K bonus inserts, above the display, classic wear in front of H-Y-P-E targets and terrible wear around "Defender" drop-targets
  • Flipper rubbers should be yellow (and those red ones don't look new - in my mind "New playfield rubbers throughout" includes the flippers)
  • Legs should be black (and not rusty)
  • Wrong coin door logo
  • Missing coin return button
  • Original 30+ year old caps on rectifier board
  • Missing rubber on post beside ramp to upper-playfield (not the nest attention to detail as post does have new acorn nut on top!)
  • Nasty shooter lane track
  • Filthy
  • Signs of rust on backglass lift channel
It does have a replacement battery on the MPU and although the photo is a bit dark nothing jumps out at me to suggest it's suffered any major corrosion damage. I'd rate mine about 6/10, so I'd give this about 5/10. Mine was £350 so I'd say about £300-325 for this one.

It pretty much looks like an original machine. The MPU appears to have original masked ROMs and the sound board looks as though it still has the original EPROMs. There are still many original labels and stickers, and I can't see any hacks. Basically, it arrived and it played when switched on (boards and display tested/working) and it's got £10 worth of new white rubbers. I don't see any evidence of the PF being cleaned or the posts being removed. Maybe the pictures were taken before the majority of the work was done, but usually fitting new rubbers is the last thing to do as they just get dirty.

that's brian in southampton selling that
I see thebestofthebunch selling lots of pins on eBay. Is "Brian" a member on here?

This is the same guy that @DRD bought his Fathom off he always wants top dollar for rough examples and hardly budges from his valuations so I have heard in the past. Yet another eBay joker we don't need.

Like @Nedreud I am a member if the vector brotherhood, and this looks like an absolute pig of a Vector to me. In addition to the points above it also has taken serious damage to the vectorscan left loop as the posts there on the entrance are definitely not factory. The vectorscan entrance takes a real a hammering on tired games and rather than a proper repair, some folk replace with crap like this

I really rate this game. But this example is extremely tired, unloved and grossly overpriced. If someone has messed about bodging and whoring the things you can see, just imagine what you can't.

I agree with @Nedreud on price. By all means, buy a rough one as the drops and plastics are all available. And a properly tuned vector is a great game. But not for this ridiculous price

He will have a sharp shooter, star trek de available when he fixes em. I know what he paid for em too. Can't wait to see the prices..

If you call yourself "the top bannana" at least have some mercy

If you call yourself "the top bannana" at least have some merchandise that is of good quality. This is what really irks me about this chap several years ago he was selling a Bad Cats for an exorbitant price with real bad insert decal wear/damage and he certainly has not changed his selling tactics.

Don't see that many come up for sale anymore, heavily touched up above the autofire insert, often worn on the old T2, seen them well through to the wood before today.

Its also missing the HK ship and the looms aren't cable tied to the head which is probably stressing the boards and connectors. As you say you don't see many of them though so if you're after one its nothing that can't be repaired with a little time and effort. @Archyta5 ? Its a great game and I'm really pleased with the one I bought from @Sgt GrizZ last year. It has a really tidy playfield in comparison, just need to touch in a few black keylines around inserts and shoot it over with clear at some point to make it perfect. :)

Aye, I asked the guy if he had a bin price since the game is literally a 20 minute drive from me, £2500! So I will be putting in a bid like everyone else. I'd like a T2 but not at over double what it is actually worth.

For £2500 I'd expect it to be BNIB or the mintest high end restore ever seen, not an mediocre example that needs a load of work! :cuckoo:Hopefully you can win it for a reasonable amount but it is eBay. :hmm:

Yes I politely informed him I would bidding with everyone else, you always wonder if people throw these crazy prices at you because they genuinely believe it is worth that or if they hope you don't know it's not worth that.

With the new film out yould expect a few to come out the woodwork but only one so t2 just isn't there anymore. Probably the 4th best selling DM game in UK (after TAF LW3 and SW ) but saw so many go for export in the 90s . should be a 1k game but who knows. 2500 seems a bit mad but remember the TAF from the lake and some very tired funhouse s recently

What's with the effin Black Pyramid on ebay? It seems to keep getting re-listed every single day. Is this some new sales tactic?

A somewhat rare NOS playfield for R&B has turned up on eBay.

It's a shame it's got a hoofing big bit of damage up near the pops. The buyer is up front about it but it's such a shame to see. Sure it might be partially covered but if you're going to the trouble of fitting a NOS playfield you really want one without the damage.

Wow - what a mess of cabling in the backbox. Def had head off at some point and someone has gone to a lot of effort to make no effort at all routing the cables back to where they should be

Seeing that this is over 1K now , I think you made the right move buying my old one @aaronhicksuk
