easy way to remove upper playfield on White Water ?

I picked up a white water yesterday, there are a few wee niggles with it but nothing terminal (i hope)

Anyhow there is a piece of wood shoved into the wet willies guide area. Im guessing the VUK or switch wasnt working and this was deemed easier than soldering the wire :confused:

Im just wondering if there is an easy way to get it out. does the top playfield lift off easy or is it a strip all the ramps off until I can get at it job ?

ok lifted the mountains and the two left side ramps (insanity falls)
that gave me access to the no way out/wet willies area. Still couldnt move it. Screwed a big screw into the piece of wood and eventually got it out with a pair of pliers.

Soldered the loose wire back onto the vuk and then noticed the top of the plunger is missing... will have a hoke in my spares boxes tomorrow as im sure i have a vuk plunger in there somewhere.

Also now have a problem with the lower right flipper now (it was working fine when i collected it yesterday) the lower flipper doesnt move when you push the rh flipper button but the top one flips fine. The flipper all works fine in test, flips and holds etc just not in game. im guessing that going to be the fliptronics board ?

Hi, the little opto board attached to the flipper button has two optos, one for each flipper. If the coil drive circuits are alright, I'd suspect the optic for the lower flipper - does it show in the switch test?. If you try swapping the opto boards and then the left flipper doesn't work while the right does, then it's definitely the lower opto on the r/h board. The flipper button/EoS switch ('F') switches do operate through the fliptronic circuit board, though.

I had a quick look last night but I think there was only one opto for the right flippers. I could be wrong and i will check later, it was late and i might have missed something

want to get it working before i do much cleaning etc. then i know it should go back together fine
