Drop targets not working - 1980 Williams Blackout

Hey folks

On my blackout machine, two of the drop targets (in a bank of 3) don't work at all.

No points, no dropping.

I have ordered some replacement boards and am getting some help with that but I would like to have a tinker and take a look.

I have read that this is a fairly common issue due to the horseshoe contacts but I have not found anything that specifically covers them not registering at all like this.

Should I just open her up and have a look - clean it up a bit?

Thoughts? Or best left to the pros?

Do you need replacement boards?

Is it the Blackout that @Sertx was selling on here?

Edit: Do you mean NMP drop target boards as opposed to your main boards?

Hey, yeah, sorry, new to this so not 100% on the terminology.

It is the 3 x drop targets at the top of the playfield.

Only 1 works (the other 2 do nothing).

I purchased it from @Sertx - it is very cool.

I have ordered the NMP drop target boards and am going to get @Pick_Holder to install them (based on advice from @Widnesbernie who was super helpful).

Strangely, last go, two of them worked, so I figure it is just the horseshoe things not making contact... but not 100% sure.

Would be good to get it all working though so I can get the blackout!

those nmp sensors are great,and completly change this period of williams games,there is nothing worse than making a shot and the target failing to register

Yeah, it is a super cool table, very retro, suits our old spooky house, so really want that bit working as well.
