Prob simple answer to this.

Removed Deadworld planet to access lamps. It just seemed to 'pop' off. How does this thing stay in place though ?? No obvious securing point. Feels like it sort of clips on but after a few games it's coming off as it turns. Hmmmm.

Sounds like it's touching something as it turns thus knocking it of, I can remember I had the same problem when I had one.

Think I ended up with a small pin prick of glue on each side to hold it as it did not click on on its own. Just wear over the years I suppose.
If you don't want to use glue then clear tape will do the job.

It screws on using that tiny bit of thread, more like clips tbh :) Pretty sh*t design and you almost always see them with tape on. As Daz said, make sure it's clear all the way round when it spins as even the slightest bit of rubbing will pop it off. Had the exact same issue with mine and it took a bit of messing with before it would stay in place on it's own.....although it would still pop off on the odd occasion :)

Yep was thinking exactly that about the design. All it needs is one securing screw, or proper clip. Boom. Job done
