I have a good stock of DotClks for sale, video of it in action here:

The clock currently has 2 fonts and over 2,300 animations, as well as many configuration options.

Cost is £199 + £15 delivery, payment to paypal@drpinball.co.uk. Please contact me at dotclk@drpinball.co.uk in the first instance.

This price includes everything needed to plug in and go...
DotClk with Perspex frame
Micro SD Card with all currently available animations and fonts
SD Card adapter (micro to standard size)
Power supply (5 Volts / 8 Amps)
UK power cable
All packaged in bubble wrap and double thickness box.

This is an open source project with all of the code and manufacturing designs available online. There are also tools to create your own clock fonts and animations grabbed from WPC or Stern machines, plus support for animated GIFs so you can add animations from anywhere.

I will have a stall at the forthcoming NLP show at Event City, Manchester. I'll bring a good stock of DotClk, DMD Extender and a couple of Mame cabinets, all of which will be working on display.

I'll be able to take payment by Cash, PayPal or Debit/Credit card.

Hi,

May i ask... Is the time set manually, or can it be configured to join a home WiFi network and get the time via NTP or something? Is it remotely configurable as a network device? PoE even?

I'm thinking that once this is up on the wall i'd prefer it to 'just work', possibly only in use when the games room power circuit is enabled & requiring minimal physical interaction generally.

Cheers,
Paul.

The time is set manually and there is no facility to get the time from the internet. However, once set, the time stays correct even when there is no power to the clock - there is a battery and RTC (Real Time Clock).

Also, if the clock gains or loses time there is menu option to adjust the accuracy so you should be able to get it to a few seconds per month. It's also possible to quickly adjust for BST using the DST (Daylight Saving Time) menu to quickly add an hour.

David,

Suggestion - is there any way to add an NTP clock at all?? I for one would pay for the extra Circuitry/Design etc- that way it would pick up BST/GMT time changes and change automatically....

Something possible to add??

Cheers
Paul

We bought a clock at NLP. It's the best purchase I've made in years. Bloody brilliant watching so many classic animations from our favourite pinballs and so much bigger and brighter than was expecting. Now where are the animations from TOTAN, TRON and Spiderman? Seem to be loads of Ghostbusters ones.

Still bought one... Not opened yet as been working away, but i'm itching to get it on the wall.

Take a look at https://github.com/sigmafx/DotClk-Resources/blob/master/RD Index.txt as it lists all the scenes. Looks like there is 1 Tron and 14 Spiderman VE clips. That should be your evening sorted tonight looking out for them :)

There are 200 Ghostbusters ones! I thought they cropped up a lot.

Make sure you have the latest Scenes folder (https://github.com/sigmafx/DotClk-Resources) as I know a lot were added to it recently. You should have approx. 2300 scenes if you have the latest one. You can plug the memory card into a PC to check or copy on to.

I've not seen these before, they look very cool.

I'd like one please David.

Drop me an email to dotclk@drpinball.co.uk and I'll be able to help. I sold out of the clocks at Play Expo. Thanks to all who bought one.

I've got a few missing a couple of parts but I'm still waiting on those bits from China. Shouldn't be long now.

All of the files beginning RD are from the Run DMD ROM. I created a few others which are more easily identifiable by their naming e.g. IJ01.scn.

Are there any new animals in the pipeline? I'm hoping for Totan as I have one on the way! [emoji2]

WPCEdit doesn't support TOTAN so I can't immediately get animations for you - if anyone has experience using VPinMame then I think it's possible to record the DMD from game play in which case I should be able to extract the necessary data and create some animations.

Just to let people know, I will have a good stock of the clocks for delivery from next week - cost is £214. Drop me a line if interested.

I have also designed a set of covers for the edges so the clock becomes completely enclosed - details and cost to follow.

Okay, just added GOT scenes, see this link and follow instructions:
https://github.com/sigmafx/DotClk-Resources

New files are got01.scn to got14.scn.

If you want to check them out in isolation, just copy these files to the Scenes directory on your SD card, remove all other scene files. To watch them all in turn switch on debug from the menu, otherwise they'll just appear in a random order.
