As the title suggests, I have a galaxy tab 10.1 that is out of warranty. It will no longer connect to wifi infact it can't even turn its wifi receiver on. I've tried restoring it to factory settings and still the same. It just says turning on wifi and just stays like that. When it first started playing up it would pick up all the connections in the street but would just keep refreshing the list every few seconds so you couldn't try and out smart it by putting ur password in quickly because it would just do it part way through grrr.

Do you know if you have the latest firmware Rudi, to make sure it's not software related? If not, you can connect your tablet to a PC via USB, then use the Samsung Kies software to update the firmware from there. Here's a link to download Keis to a PC:

And this tutorial shows you how to update the firmware:

If it still doesn't work after that, then doing repairs on tablets/phones is generally not too hard, just fiddly and time consuming. For example, the instructions to replace the motherboard on the tab 10.1 are below (I'm assuming, but don't know for sure, that the WIFI components are on the motherboard on your tablet model):

Fonejoy.com can usually get you parts, even if the parts are not shown on their website. I think they also have technical support people who can give you advise about problems too, so might be worth calling them.

Cheers I'll give that a bash when I don't have bsd parts all over my desk. No idea what firmware it is as I can't get to the settings because of the turning on wifi thing lol
