Do you own your Favourite pin?

I second this - I own a pro TMNT.
Felt like months of only scoring 0-10mil - a few more adjustments every few weeks, and boom. 50+ mil scores and longer games every time!
Also a great game to learn to nudge with.
I absolutely love mine. 🐢🐢🐢🐢 It was meant to be a quick in and out for a few months but still play it most days and isnt leaving any time soon. I dont understand the hate!!

Interesting seeing people talk up Turtles. Such an elite theme for me but I'd always ruled out owning after hearing bad things from a few people
It's a fun, reactionary, great shooting game but it's not one you have to make a lot of decisions on what direction to take your game. Jaws for example is excellent in that respect, you have to decide what path you're going for, what your doing next etc. It's not the same in that regard, that you'll be thinking and planning out your path through the game. So it depends if you think you would enjoy that or not, I like both types of games depending on mood but have been leaning more and more towards shorter playing modern games recently.

Yep - we found a Stern High Roller Casino and would never sell it for what I'm sure would be an incredibly high price.

I used to own my fav pinballs and sold them when moving to UK - mistake! Now making do with Sterns (but they are actually more entertaining by now).

Yes, I think I do as well, although I first brought a Godzilla, I really wanted a Guardians of the Galaxy which I now own. Originally I wanted a STNG but I think I have moved on without knowing it

I think Turtles is very underrated- Played the Pro for a few months while it was sited up near me- very challenging and my best score was low, like 30 million; I think the low scoring mechanics due to code,
+ speed of the game mean some people don’t give it a chance. Personally- I’d love Spooky to do the Goonies 🤞

Yes 😎 Getaway HS2
It was my first game and is responsible for sucking me into the pinball world. I hung onto my first machine for several years while other games came and went.
I did eventually sell it shortly before moving house a couple of years ago (when I sold all my machines) I missed it pretty much as soon as it left.
After playing HS2 again at Pinfest 2024 I knew I had to make it my mission to get another one asap. I managed to get a very nice example shortly afterwards which was way nicer than my original game. I absolutely love it and still get that buzz whenever I nail a super jackpot (or two) 🤩👌🏼

Yes - I have my two favourite games Tron LE and AC/DC Premium side by side, just how I had them back in 2013/14, although different machines back then.

Only room for 3 or 4 machines in my new place, I would like a original MM again, but doubt if any will be available now for a sensible figure.

Awesome congrats, Evil Dead is superb, played it at Pinfest a good few times. I said when ED was announced that this was the most exciting most carefully thought after well integrated Pin since Pulp Fiction and I wasn't wrong, well in my opinion anyway. I don't care for the ED theme but this is light years ahead of what Stern Premiums offer us in the UK. Can't wait till wee see what's next next from Spooky, hopefully Gremlins :)

I got into pinball in the pandemic and, as the lockdowns eased, I was so glad to get *out* that I played SOOOO many pins on location.

I had a list of pins I played obsessively on location, and I think I've got most of them now - even the weirder stuff like TNA. What's interesting is my tastes have changed as I've become a better player, and I can really tell which pins don't support all of beginner, intermediate and expert play now. The ones that do, I've tended to continue to like.

Interestingly, JP2 seems to be the favourite of myself and my eldest.

I have fallen in love with Cactus Canyon, but there aren't many around in the UK, and although there is one of the re-make's currently up for about £8k, this is out of my price range.
Maybe when I retire and get my nice lump sum......
Hi mate :) you still have your arcade cabs or more Into the pins nowadays?

I'm migrating towards pins after buying a Bride of Pinbot a few months ago (I sold a Big Century candy cab to make room for that).
I am at capacity thoough, so I have had to sell 2 x Sega Blast City cabs last week to make room for an incoming Fish Tales.
I still have a Crystal Castles, Toobin, Centipede, Puckman and a Goliath with a Jrok Robotron in it. In additon I also have a couple of toys, a 1up Starwars and a Virtual Pin. Doubt I will ever sell any of those. I think I will be content once that 2nd pin is here.

Nice! I just have a new astro, jamma cab and a sega rally cockpit project left I'm setting up a tibal multi board on.. I have a couple of pcbs but don't bother with them tbh just use a pi/multi now.. The pins get way more play.
2 great pins you got there probably soon be 3 though 😆

Yes, TAF, the first game I bought.

Was a game changer when in the arcades. Had the art, the genuine actor callouts, the theme, the music, superb modes/ integration.

All too easy to look back and compare with modern games, but you have to view it in context. It was streets ahead of contemporaries like T2, FT, POTO, Bad Cats, Earthshaker, TMNT, LW3, Hurricane, SOF, Gilligans, any Gottlieb.

It changed the industry and broke sales records.

Owned mine for over 25 years. Will be the last to go.

Hi Keith, I remember my son and I visiting your old place in Kettering about 12 years ago when you had Ac/Dc and MM and also a Harlem globetrotters if I remember correctly. Nice to see you have some of them back!

Yes….Big Buck Hunter.

I just love the game, music and theme.

I have said before, but sold it once and immediately regretted it (it was during the time when I was getting machines in and out almost weekly), but luckily got it back.

Do most people have at least one keeper?

Everytime I used to buy a pin, TZ, CV, AC/DC etc I always joked to my family they were keepers.
They were holding bets as to how long each would last!

Now after 14 years of owning pins I think my Godzilla and Guns n Roses are definitely keepers, well for now anyway 😂

Somehow, despite the number of pins, I probably don't own my favourite pin (though it is hard to pinpoint exactly just one favourite pin) I don't have a few of the games that would be in my top 10.

I guess what's happened is, they were expensive games in the past, and as time has gone on, they have just got more expensive, so I am always chasing that "bargain" that is never going to happen 🤣

My Pulp Fiction is velcroed to the floor.

My dream theme, and could potentially be my favourite Pin, is Simpsons Pinball Party. It was the first Pin I wanted when I got into the hobby 10 years ago but for some reason I've never owned one, and have only played the virtual version.

I will own one at some point!

I own my top 2 pins (Metallica & Maiden 🤘🏼) and my favourite 90’s pin (The Shadow) - can’t imagine I’d move any of them on anytime soon 😍
Problem is my other 2 pins that should be the swappers are way too high on my list to get rid of too 🤷🏼‍♂️ (JP Premium and Rush)
