Do the mylar protectors need to be replaced

what are peoples thoughts on this..
I removed the ones from my CG before I coated it. One the one hand I don't expect it will get nearly the same amount of wear it would have in an arcade. On the other - they are pretty cheap I think so wouldn't it be better too anyway ?
 
I get a mate to do mine when the need arises.
He uses twin pack as used on cars and motorbikes. This dries rock hard like concrete and I’ve never replaced Mylar(s) with no wear years later. Ken
 
I have been wondering this too, have some pop bumper Mylar I haven't got around to installing, so interested to hear peoples thoughts.

The "standard" ones for pop bumpers and slingshots are readily available (Pinball mania has them). And given the price - its almost a non-starter. That said.. if they arent really needed.. then...
