After relocating my TOM today everything worked fine and then a few lines on the display went a bit wavy. I powered down and re-seated the ribbon cables. Turned back on and all was ok. Turned machine off. 5 mins later turned it on again and the display was completely garbled, just a few random lines flickering. Swapped DMD driver board with another machine, display still caput and DMD driver board proven in other machine. Swapped displays with other machine, display still faulty in other machine and TOM working fine. So its definitely the display. The display was previously completely solid, i.e. no gassing/fizzing/lines or dots out so maybe its something simple?

Who was the guy on here who fixed DMD's as long as they weren't just worn out/gassing? or was that person on the other group?

I had a DMD just kaput on me a few months ago and looked into sending board off for evaluation/repair via Jamies contact. TBH by the time you factored in secure signed for delivery there and back + cost of repair it was looking in the region of £80+ , I opted just to buy a strong fully working 2nd hand one for £100.

I have a few spare, I'm frequently up the m5/m4, but don't venture into the dark hills, so I could drop one at Neils if of any use?

Thanks Ian, I do however potentially have a spare already depending on the answer to the next question; Can I fit the DMD taken out of my TSPP to TOM? are they the same?
