You have probably already done it, but check the connectors in the back of the DMD and also test the DMD, just to be sure, but I agree, doesn’t look like that’s the issue. Then move on to any seated chips on the DMD board and reseat them. That’s about as far as I can take it.
That's a bit weird, these displays clock the dot data in per row serially so having a solid dot every 8 bits is a bit strange (usually see stuck rows not columns?) Id reseat any display ram as well (if socketed).
