Hi.

Now I didn't have a problem with my Iron man but it's Italian and on boot up it would say italy. No biggy, i found these dip switch settings online.

So i flicked the switches over to UK settings and turned it on. It had its initial boot up flash and now it's dead!
Coincidence or is it something more sinister?

Changed the glass fuse inside the cab and it's fine. Was just a coincidence that it blew when I first changed the dip settings. All as it should. I was hoping I'd get a screech when i achieved replay/special like the knocker in bally/Williams games. Still doesn't. :(

Is the knocker (pig's cock trapped in a farm gate) enabled in settings ?

It's enabled and turned up to it's maximum setting of normal. It squeals at end game when they numbers match... never squeals on extra ball
It won't. You need to set it to award CREDIT for the 'knocker' to sound.

For extra balls? I must be going mad then :-D
Yeah for extra balls. I don't know how dip switch settings effect game play. I know the knocker may not work at all under some countries switch settings. May effect extra ball knock. Creech always did seem to knock twice though. That's what threw me off with this because I've only owned bally Williams upto now

With the exception of when the coin units counter is enabled, the knocker will always hit for a 'Replay'.

In the settings you can define a Replay as either a CREDIT or EXTRA BALL.

So you must have always opted for the latter..

On a Stern too ?

On sterns You can set replays as extra balls and I think it can give a knock or screech or whatever. It may depend on what you configured the knocker to do. They can be turned off on sterns, which is helpful when trying to avoid upsetting the neighbours..!
