Demolition man has started to display 'check switch 54 upper rebound', although its mentioned in the manual page 2-45 the number is missing from the playfield diagram, it's simply not there so can someone advise as to where the upper rebound switch is located please ?

It's not under the play field is it ?

Pintrix has this info for Switch 54.

Tha manual gives the impression it's a playfield switch , I've tried the switch edges test & touched everywhere I could reach, see my photo, the arrow points to what could be switch 54 but moving it doesn't register a beep

If you look at that photo I posted it tells you that the switch wires are green/black and white/yellow. So you need to be looking for a switch that has those coloured wires on it.

Your arrow is pointing to a one way gate (it isn't a switch).

Thanks pinballmania, I've looked at the switch & it's very poor, rather strangely there is no green/blak wire going to it as per wiring diagram

It should be around somewhere. I have replacements switches but you have to refit it to the existing mounting bracket.

Looks like there is a short wire from the nearby switch which has the green/black wire and from the same tab is a short yellow wire to this faulty switch , soldering looks a bit rough so presumably a short piece of yellow replaced the green/black at some time

Switch is working now although having just played a game I don't recall the ball touching the upper rebound once as it's in an awkward place to get hit

It will be just one of those switches that provides a sound effect or some poxy little score.
