Morning folks.

Can anyone please advise on my next move? Do I need to buy a new switch and if so is there a specific type/brand please?

Thank you

Replace the diode on the switch see if that sorts it.

Cheers mate.

Keith has just got me checking through the obvious stuff first.

When the soldering iron comes out we know it's getting serious 😉

You need a ohms meter to confirm its the switch, it could be a break in the wire, without a meter you will be guessing the fault.

Trace the wires from the switch to its node board, try reseating the connector and give it a good look.
I had a similar non-working switch problem on Deadpool. Turned out to be the pin in the connector onto the node board - it was squashed so had to replace the pin in the connector. Had the same thing on a lamp too.

If you need a hand let me know, up the road in Crowthorne

no diode on the switches IIRC. It's stuck closed so remove the centre wire and see if it clears, If it does then the switch may be fauklty (or it's gapped closed and needs the actuator arm adjusting). If it doesn't clear then you've a bigger problem possibly on the node board.

The quickest/easiest thing to do first is stick a multimeter on continuity mode across the legs of the switch to see if it is working

Thanks for all of these tips and offers of help folks, you're a credit to hobby/community and I really appreciate it.

I'm just uploading a Dolly Parton video then I'll be getting to it.
