The DMD on one of my WPC pins just suddenly stopped working recently. No signs of failing before that, one minute fine, then next ...nothing :( Whilst staring at it , willing it back to life, there was a very brief display of garbage on screen. And now just dead.

Tried it in another game, still dead.

Tested voltages from driver board, all good. Tried a DMD from another game in there, all good.

So question is - is my display just kaput ? Or is there anything I can do to test it/resurrect it. Never actually had one just fail on me before. I know they do die over time but thought there was usually signs of gassing out, prolonged warmup etc beforehand.

Doesnt Jamie Bird have a contact that tests/fixes dmds ?

Might be worth a punt if you get nowhere with your own tests... I think its a no fix no fee arrangement although I might have dreamt that

Ive

I have a spare fully working display taken put of one of my games when replaced by a color dmd for sale, my last one if you can't get it fixed.

Cheers
Greg
