DE small DMD repair

Does anyone undertake repairs to the small Data East dmd boards?

Mine hook display has developed an issue with every 8th vertical line, I think the plasma is fine, the issue is on the controller board.

Alternatively can anyone tell me where I can source (UK) the HV5308 PJ-B chip from the controller board. I am tempted to have a go at replacing this myself - nothing ventured, nothing gained!

I replaced my dead one with a pinled, have you tried re seating all the ribbon cables?

Yes, tried all the normal stuff.
