Fished out a de cpu board that would'nt boot. Installed a new single eprom in c5 and i'm nearly there but with power to it on the bench i get the 5v straight on with the pia led. The pia led goes out after 1/2 sec ( so far so good) but then the blanking led comes on, goes out then comes on and stays on. NO acid damage at all anywhere but i don't have a DE m/c to test it in. So is one flash on the blanking led acceptable or not.
I've replaced the static ram/6802 chip and the 555 timer chip.
Looking at the blanking generator area is it worth changing Q14 a 4403 src. Thanks Ken
