Data East Trough & Outhole Not Energised

Hello
Any Data East gurus here?
I have a Time Machine which has been electrically modded during its life!
Upon ownership the ball lock, trough and outsole failed to work. They are on a dedicated 32v circuit.
Also noted the BR2 fuse had blown and occasionally the K relay would continually click on start up on the PPB.

So I've replaced BR2 and fuse and issue still stands with the 3 coils and now the K relay always clicks on start up and attract.
The game would start, flippers powered originally but not release the ball but now the fame does not start.

Any thoughts. TIA

No idea about DE but: Seems this is all happening on the PPB board, which is a solenoid multiplexer. So the coils you mention are on the B side of relay K. The way it is shown in the diagram they should be active when K is powered via the orange cable from PPB to the coils. It is fused by F6 on the PPB board, that would be the first thing to check. Next is to see if there are 32 V at the coils when relay K is energized, we can take it from there. Klacker/Chime 1-3 are on the same control lines from the CPU, provided they work this is around the relay (hopefully just the fuse). <- edited as I mistakenly had flashers written down.

Thanks for the info. I've got @astyy parachuting in tonight to take a look.
Perfect Draft beer dispenser fully operational also.

Yep F6 on the PPB was out. New one in balanced it and we are back in operation.
Only head scratcher is Chime 3 won't chime. It shares the same transistor as the ball lock that works fine now. The coil and diode are not original on that so needs further investigation and maybe a post on pinside.
Thanks for your help and direction.

Good thing, rest should be easy. Could be coil type or broken, diode wrong way round or cable break - easy to buzz out.

It's a shame we didn't sort Chime 3 but the visit was really more about pasties, perfect draft and puppies! Chime 3 is common on 32V L to the other non-working coils so maybe the culprit to the blown fuse when it gets sorted.

I really like quirky Time Machine, the knocker being called Klacker and note to operators not to remove the chimes reminiscent of EMs.

Solars don't forget we left PPB F6 under fused to test so you need to get some 3A SB in.

Yes, you may want to disconnect until the fault is identified to save on fuses :-)...
