Good morning all. Having a bit of an issue with my Laser war.
The problem :
The game switches on fine and starts it attract mode etc but after around 20secs it goes in to the settings and just starts to cycle through all the options. Really quickly and I am unable to do anything else.
When it happened :
Was half way through a multi ball and one ball drained. When the ball hit the ball trough, I got a tilt warning and then the game reset.
When I switched it off and on, the ball trough coil made a bit of a buzz like it was trying to energize but quickly stopped.
Turned it back off, checked a few things and then this.
The batteries are changed often and no wires seem to have came loose near the menu buttons. I have had a check over all fuses and boards and all seem to be visually fine.
Anybody have any idea where I should be starting to look?
In my head I'm thinking the ball kicker coil has maybe burnt out and sent a spike up to some resistor or something but I'm worse than a beginner when it comes to electronics unfortunately.
I have had a good look over the Dataeast/Sega fault finder page and it doesn't seem to cover this particular issue. More faulty displays or faulty menu switches.
Thanks in advance for any possible help.
Cheers
Mark
