Don't trust the instruction manual for the orientation of the plugs!

Specifically the ribbon from the CPU board to the 8-driver PCB

I just plugged it in as per the drawings in the manual, double checked, tripple checked and then when I turned the machine on

*BANG*

As every coil and flasher fired at the same time, followed shortly by the flashing of fuses as they popped one by one before I could turn the power back off

The F*cking manual is wrong

Well if anyone can fix it, you are the man Luke, sorry to hear , I feel the pain. But we all know that most manuals have plenty of mistakes, just a shame even the clued in guy's with all the electronic knowledge can still get caught out.

I usually manage to do that without the manual (make it go BANG) , you will get it sorted, will be a walk in the park, a meltdown for the rest of us though
