Danger... Danger... Tilt... GAME OVER - Tilt Birmingham 31-10-2015 to 06-07-2025

A Massive thank you for everything Tilt wise over the last ten years Kirk, I hope you enjoy a well earned rest. Hope to see you soon!

Enjoyed coming to Tilt for comps after the Electric Cirus closed, knew the closure was coming but still sad times now it's gone.

A mini resurrection sorry, just catching up on posts.

Obviously we knew this was likely on the cards for a little while, but I'd missed any news having not played much pinball the past couple of months and found out at the weekend Tilt had really gone. It stinks.

We're very lucky that the pinball clubs around the country are excellent, but there are so few of them. Losing Tilt is a huge blow.

Also, there's been a noticeable influx of Tilt regulars into the hobby at large lately, and our already small hobby will suffer losing that.

Best of luck with whatever you do Kirk, hopefully catch up with you soon 🙏

- Reece

Cheers for the kind words @OTRawrior

I had the best regulars at Tilt for the pinball and I'm glad I could fly the flag and get lots of new people into the hobby

Sadly pinball in the UK is going to continue to decline, none of the clubs left and being used enough because too many people are lucky enough to have them in the home now...

So people only go to venues for tournaments these days and thats not sustainable

Sorry to hear the news you’ve closed Tilt Kirk! 😕 I enjoyed the couple of visits over the years, and your collection of new Sterns snd 90’s classics was always impressive.

Here at Chief we’ve actually seen an increase in pinball playing over the last 12-18 months, which is the reason I’ve invested quite heavily in new machines this year.
We have an audience of local regulars who have grown, and visit frequently. We see seasoned pinball players (many of them forum members) occasionally visit and support us, but not often compared to the more casual and regular players.

Quite a few youngsters getting into it too, some with their parents, and improving their skills.

Perhaps it’s our area of West London, I’m not really sure. But we’re definitely not seeing a decline in interest in our neck of the woods.

Hopefully catch up with you soon, and all the best with your next project!

Had nothing to do with the pinball @Chief

I think most business in an affluent area would thrive as along as the product is solid.

Birmingham is surrounded by poverty, has a council that is bankrupt and criminal and the streets are hardly policed making it feel unsafe

Majority of the offices in Birmingham closed down and majority of the businesses in my area closed killing footfall

Glad your doing well....

The above contributed to use closing but not the main reasons but as I said before nothing that I'm willing to discuss until any legal action is taken

Sorry to hear this mate, and some of the circumstances surrounding. The powers that be in this country should do better along with supporting small independent business.

I was commenting really as you suggested people are only visiting pinball venues for tournaments, and pinball will only decline in the UK, so was just sharing a more positive outlook from our point of view
