Covering flipper button wear on a Stern?

Hi guys,

I've just picked up a TSPP which seems in nice condition (I haven't had a proper look yet as it is raining too hard to unload the car).

However, it does have a lot of wear around the flipper buttons. I've seen you can get new side rails to cover this type of wear but that seems overkill for what I need as the side rails are fine. Is there anything that can just go under the button to cover the wear, without replacing the whole side rail?

Additionally, my TSPP has skill posts and I quite like them so would ideally be looking for something to accommodate both buttons.

I suppose I could get an oval piece of plastic, mark the holes, and try and make it myself - but before I do I wanted to see if I could buy one anywhere first :)

Thanks guys, in the end I did buy from that seller as it was the only placeI could find them and they arried quite quicky! No paddin/protection in the envelope but they arrived unharmed, and P&P was only 40p so I can't complain! Actually, I recieved lots of communication thanking me for my order and letting me know when they were despatched etc, far more han most of my eBay purchases. Not go around to using them yet though as I am planning on cutting an extra hole for the skill buttons.

When they are fitted I will take pic and post it up so you can see what they look like :)

The extra button hole is a pain. I did the same on my LOTR and it looks OK. Better than the big white patches anyway.
 
Or you could just remove the second button and the plate will cover it up.... You shouldn't rely on the skill posts anyhow... :cool:
 
Thanks guys, to be honest my last TSPP didn't have the skill posts/buttons and this time I specifically wanted one that did as the kids prefer it (and I try not to use them - honestly) ;)

I'm planning on removing both buttons, positioning the protector, marking the second hole from the back and cutting it out, then attaching it all in place. Hopefully it should look ok - will take a pic when I'm done. They only cost a few quid so I'm not too worried either way.
