Hi all,

I am selling my Congo pinball machine which I have just finished restoring. I planned to keep this machine long term but another machine I have been looking for has become available so I need to free up some funds!

I have carried out an extensive restoration of this machine (the details of which are available here: http://www.pinballinfo.com/community/threads/congo-restoration.16964/ ).

I have carried out the following to the machine:
  • Cleaned all circuit boards (there are no repairs to the boards)
  • Replaced IDC connectors where required
  • Cleaned the inside of the cabinet
  • Replaced all orange targets with brand new items
  • Replaced all plastic ramps (x3) with brand new items
  • Re-built all pop bumpers with brand new items
  • Re-built all flippers with brand new items
  • Fitted a full LED kit
  • Fitted new coloured star posts (green and orange all round rather than the standard black items)
  • Fitted a new (improved) volcano popper
  • Added a custom LED mod to the volcano
  • Fitted a brand new plastic set
  • Fitted a brand new full rubber set (including the yellow stop rubbers on the ramps)
  • Fitted a playfield protector
  • Polished all metal parts
  • Used new nut/bolts/screws in the re-build
  • Rebuilt lower playfield - including fitting new decals and mylar to add protection
  • Fitted full cliffy protector set
  • Fitted new translite trim
  • Translite and light box cleaned
  • Fitted after market in/out lane plastics to replace the standard metal items (originals are included in the sale)
  • Custom plastic protector fitted to most vulnerable plastic
  • Build custom DC-3 plane with navigation and cockpit lighting
  • Restored, treasure cove polished and waxed (3 layers) playfield
  • Other things I have forgotten!

As you would expect the machine is running perfectly and looks fantastic!

The cabinet is in good condition but does have the odd mark here and there - nothing serious though. The colours are still visible but have faded slightly (to a uniform degree on all sides).

I am asking £1800.00 for the machine.

Here's some pics - there are many more on the restoration thread and I am happy to mail any specific pics you'd like to see!

I saw this the other day and can attest to the shininess and the lengths gone to to get it in this condition, if I had not owned 3 or 4 Congo's before it would be winging its way here. Lovely job!

£1,800!?!?!?! Have you change your name to Slit-Me-Own-Throat Dibbler?

I know how much you spent on this (time and money). Your mental! And I didn't even get a game on it... :( I did see it however and it was very, very, very, need sunglasses shiny

Very, very nice mate. That playfield looks superb!

Agree it's a total bargain!

Thanks for the interest all and for the very kind comments, it was a difficult decision to put it up for sale after the restoration but the lure of a different shiny pinball machine was too much - is there a pinball owners anonymous group anywhere?!

T'was a peach, someone will be very happy, Congo has great flow and is a well decent title, I've got mine as Lemmy from Motorhead would say.
