This isn’t a new situation - the same happened when I tried to get the colorisation files for Fish Tales (eventually someone mailed me the files and the designer’s email address) - nor is it unique to us, there are tens of Google search results reporting the same issue.
It appears you can contact the admin to try to resolve the problem by joining the VPUniverse Discord server, but - when I tried to do that - it tried to automatically link one of the Google accounts I couldn’t activate to my Discord email, which it couldn’t do. So, I couldn’t contact the admins about an account that wouldn’t activate… because I’d have to use details from an account I couldn’t activate.
As I have no interest whatsoever in joining VPUniverse, apart from trying to download a couple of files for my Pin2DMD (and contact authors to pay, where not free), I’m hoping I can get in touch through websites that WILL LET ME REGISTER AND LOGIN
@AlanJ is correct that I could set up a whole new Gmail account (and Discord account) purely to contact the admins via Discord to complain that I can’t get a confirmation email from another email address (three other email addresses). That might work, but is - obviously - long-winded and annoying, and one would assume that if the admins cared about people having this problem, they would GET IT FIXED!!!! [rant over]
