Color DMD help

I just received a 2nd hand color DMD bought from a forum member. It was previously fitted to a MM but I want to fit it to my original Iron Man. The instructions for SAM games show a different power cable to the included one. Can I connect it to IM with this cable or do I need a different cable?

I didn't realise they shipped with different power cables, thought they were all the same. Anyway, anyone have a spare stern power cable? Anyone hacked a cable, i.e. Fitted a different connector to the cable?

Looks like standard connectors you could make one dunno how you would make it into a Y tho

Yeah looking at it now. Only need the Y if you need to plug something else in.

They look like IDC, you could do the same or use Molex and wire two cable to the middle pins like when you reproduce an IDC loop. All the better if you don't have to though!

Made a cable, all working now. There was another problem to overcome. This is an old display so the mounting bracket was different, the new ones have wider mounting tabs with holes to match sterns, this one didn't though so I had to drill new holes in the speaker panel. All done now though and working great.

Any good on IM, was thinking of doing mine?

It's good Ian, fmv sections much easier to make out as they are pretty awful with the normal display. You could always swap one from another machine and try it if you have one with the right power cable, think that's what I'm going to do when star trek, avatar or spiderman comes out.

Don't forget you need the mounting kit too for newer Sterns with metal speaker panels, like Iron Man vault edition.
