Cloth or Hard Plastic

I see that many pin owners seem to use the hard plastic (pin cab) protectors on their machines.



What are the advantages over the cloth type?



I use the cloth type, at the end of the day why would I want hard plastic against artwork?

you are best off with a combination of both, cloth next to the cab,plastic next to the leg.
