I have a circlip pliers from halfords

I tried to use it yesterday when changer a shooter spring but the holes on the clip are too small,
can anyone recommend one,or a set that has this small size ?

The other thing is the rotor clip, this fella.

What tool do I need to get these on and off without making a mess of the clip.
I'd also like to get some common size spare ones .I guess theyed be imperial sizes for pins?
thanks

I have a very similar circlip plier set.

If im removing one too smal for the pliers I usually use a small screw driver, stick it in the space and turn to prise off (with my finger on top of the clip incase is flys off)

Then when putting back on i place it on the bar and clip on with a pair of ordinary needle nose pliers..

Oh I know that method all too well!
I love having the right tools for the job tho.
I'd especially like to have the tool for removing and replacing the ones without the holes.

Those bloody clip things I call C clips or E clips. I don't know what you mean when you mention holes, and I've never heard of or seen those funny pliers thingies before either.

I tend to expect when I take one off that it will fly somewhere to never be seen again. I have lots of spares that I grab with needle nose pliers and sort of ram them on. May need to go search YouTube for some knowledge methinks. I like learning new stuff but some old facts usually fall out the back of my head when I do. Like the wife's birthday, our car number plate, stuff like that.

A small screw driver n pliers us all ya need to get them off n on .....not an expensive fancy tool that will langwish in a tool box 364 days a year if not longer!

What you've got there are circlip pliers, but you're removing c clips (sometimes called e clips).
Circlips have 2 holes for those pliers to go in. They won't help much with c clips. I always stick a rag over the clip and remove with hand pressure. The rag stops the clip pinging away. They generall should come off fairly easily with hand pressure. If not, a pair of pliers, pushing on the 2 ends will pop them off. Don't forget the rag though or you'll spend forever looking for them!!

Pliers and/or screwdriver here too.

Just for reference, circlips have 2 little holes that the pliers fit into:

E-clips are like this and can usually be removed by either pushing on the prong tips or levering with a small screwdriver in the small inside gaps:

I notice yesterday that Maplin do a bargain selection box of these E-clips for about £4.

they seem to be just amended needle nose pliers, the magnetic tip is usefull though

Must call in to Maplin on the way home and get some clip action

Yeah but if the work they gotta be worth the money,
I need to pull apart the heads in roadshow and there seems to be a few of the e clips in each mech.
Tiny little ones.
