I wouldn't waste that much on one of these! I know some of the silly-cheap mini projectors were getting slagged off when i was looking about over Christmas at some of the deals about!
I think you get what you pay for. I did a bit of research about projectors pre-xmas, and the conclusion I reached was that to get the lowest acceptable spec would cost around the £1k mark, give or take £200. Then you need something to project onto as well. I guess it depends what you are looking for - if you want to sit in the shed watching movies with a degree of quality, then I'd say definately not from what I've read, but if you just want something to provide light and some vague images onto a wall while you play pinball, then maybe OK.
That's what I though. Years ago I watched a movie on an Epsom projector. Was like watching a movie through a fish tank.
Some youtube videos say they're okay. Just not very bright.
You can get a very decent BenQ projector for significantly less than a grand. More like £650. A lot of the reviews of projectors (especially on Amazon) are misleading as they get bunched together due to the model names not changing while the specs get upgraded over the years.
