I'm in the process of modding the dmd cover on my T2 and have bought a power board from DK custom pinball in the US to provide enough power outlets. I'm thinking of installing this in a space in the backbox near the power board (See pics). Any thoughts on the location?

I have two mods I need to install that I'd like to check with our esteemed experts on here that I'm doing it right. The first is some EL Foil that I'm planning to put behind the DMD cover. I have a 12v DC inverter with two bare wires that I need to connect up to the power strip. (see pic)
20151027_092437.jpg Is it as simple as crimping a connector to each wire and inserting the crimped pin into the connector? With two wires to go into three holes how do I identify which goes where? The power board came with instructions an extract from which is attached. Do I connect the black wire to ground and the red wire to the middle pin if I need 5v and the bottom one if the mod takes 12v as in the case of the EL foil?

The second is speaker LEDs from Britemods.com. These came with an adapter for J117 and require 12v DC, again, can I just cut off the adapter it came with and connect it up as per the previous mod?
