love it
FT isn't lacking rules, code or anything else IMO. It's cheap for four reasons:Unless they add some new code..........if theyre doing it with CCr/lyman, then maybe they will do it with lesser titles in future. But I think you're right, why remake something that's not that good. Would it be better to deal with a 3rd party IP holder and secure the rights to remake a TAF or IJ or TZ - I am guessing people would pay the extra £?,??? that such a licence would add to those titles, to get a brand new remade one.
Hold it more TAF’s we’re made, I play mine well (sometimes) but I’ve had it forever and what’s wrong with fishing. I will say it again what’s wrong with fishingFT isn't lacking rules, code or anything else IMO. It's cheap for four reasons:
a) it's as common as muck (~13,640 made) ;
b) it's difficult to play well;
c) it's about fishing;
d) it's about fishing...
As the owner of a FT and a LoTR, I would rank FT as among the best pins ever made. I prefer it to LoTR and I probably prefer it to AFM gameplay-wise. I can't, in good conscience, rate it higher than AFM or MM on Pinside, however, because the theme simply isn't as accessible. I struggle to explain the theme ("Well, I have a pinball machine at home. What's it about? Well, it's about... erm, lying to your mates about the size of your fish" "Nope, that's not a euphemism for something." "Are you serious?" "Yep, deadly serious." "Do you sit for hours waiting for the ball?" "No, it probably plays faster than the pinball machines about sports cars...")
Chief in Chiswick, London had one, it was in excellent condition, it's the only time I've ever seen one, not sure if it's still in the place, I went a while ago. The first game feels pretty basic but it gets betterI’ll be honest and say I’ve only played poor examples of these games at expos/events. Obviously played some of them virtually. Never actually seen a CC..
FlipOut has one - I played it on Sunday.Chief in Chiswick, London had one, it was in excellent condition, it's the only time I've ever seen one, not sure if it's still in the place, I went a while ago. The first game feels pretty basic but it gets better
How about a Scared Stiff Remake. Would there be enough demand for that?
I think the number will be on the apronWho on here is getting the le will these games be numbered
Fortunately we worked on stuff closest to the start button first. I don't know a lick of programming so I'm thankful we were as far into the project as we were when this tragedy happened.
We were currently working on the (spoiler alert) two-stage wizard mode for High Noon. Rules are in but that Lyman choreography polish we've all grown to appreciate and love hadn't been meticulously implemented yet.
There's also potentially (Spoiler alert) some hardware features to our update that had not been fully implemented yet.
I'll be seeing this thing through without a doubt. Him and I were so proud of the work we accomplished on this thing and there's no way he wouldn't want to see the community enjoy the update.
