Ccc it’s here !!

You are not wrong Alan cc is not a great game it’s certainly no medieval madness
I think it’s good pr by cgc I am an le order and really don’t care about people being offered the topper
Clearly people who missed out on the le where upset about having to the se with no topper so cgc have now offered it separately as an option take it or leave it it does push the price up to le price so really le owner s have got all the other extras for free so win win
Must say though all this le stuff media hype and fomo must be a real pain in the ass for distributors as you have to take an allocation and if it’s hot stuff you have to disappoint customers as your allocation doesn’t cover how many you have orders for or on the other hand if the games a lemon you are stuck with stock nobody wants people seem to be bailing on spooky stuff like it’s a sinking ship

Chris you've nailed it. FOMO is the word.

I've been on rollercoaster of hype/indecision/regret/acceptance/reality in all of this.

I set my heart on a classic then last minute that was pulled and suddenly you have to decide if an LE is too much bling, but days later it's too late anyway. Then the SE seems like the poor mans choice (not wealth, i mean from a "collector's" pov)

Easy for me to say now not being in on one, but a dose of reality really helps.

I'll get one, one day, maybe NIB maybe not, but "missing out" is definitely something no-one should lead their decisions on.

(but I'm still hugely jelous and a tad regretful)

It’ll be interesting to see how the second hand market responds in a couple of years. CC really only had a high demand/price due to its scarcity. (Similar to BBB)
Even with the “continued” software it’s not especially exciting.

Brand new software may turn it into a fantastic game (the difference between TWD initial software and the final version utterly saved it as a game).

There’s huge FOMO and hype at the moment but will it last? I suspect CCr may well end up being the cheapest of the remakes in the second hand market.

roll on the WH2Or, imagine how expensive that will be to remake. upper pf, the ramps and boulders, that topper……

As for a TAFr or TZr or IJTPAr as well as complex mechs, add the IP license fee on top.

All moot points gonna be 2024 at least before we see another CGCr title

Thing is Alan, they've done all the A+ rare titles now. Cheaper for people to just buy the originals.

Suppose it depends on (a) demand and (b) added features.

I'd question how much demand there is outside of collector circles.

Or to put another way, how many of the CCr orders are going to new market? Ie non-pinheads. I'd wager f.a.

Sys11's on the otherhand.... take my money!! FHr the obvious choice

Spot on John it’s only ever been highly priced due to it being rare
We will have to see what the used market brings

its not about A titles though. Its about having a game that works and isn't some clapped out 25 year old pile of dog sick :D :D :D

The next title is TOMr and it will sell out like this and then TOTANr which will also sell out like this.

Neil.

Would have thought that TAF remake would have been a more popular title? As beat up ones now sell for over 5k I would guess that there would be huge demand for a new version.

I'm sure CGC would have had a look, but as Alan says there are licence issues all over the shop, its not even about money.

I reluctantly agree I'm afraid to say.

I'd love to think that an old Bally Williams is an option but I just can't be ****d lifting the playfield up.

The allure of this game for me is absolutely the fact that it's modern.

My mate has a VW T1 split screen camper. .... sort of.

It has a Porsche engine, aircon, different chassis, power steering, different wheels and loads of other crap.

It's not really a VW camper at all but it also doesn't break down constantly.

I'd love a totally refurbished Bally game but ideally it will be super mint because I can't be ****d changing coils and soldering circuit boards.

I hope CGC make loads of games.

agree Tom and Totan likely candidates

longevity of cgc remakes as yet unproven but looking solid so far in my limited experience.

I suppose they are limited by the popularity of games.

For example, as much as I love games like Fish Tales & Getaway, they're not top tier so I guess CGC couldn't justify pricing them at the same prices their previous ones have been. I can't imagine many people would spend 8k on a Fishy even if it was mint and not going to break

Unless they add some new code..........if theyre doing it with CCr/lyman, then maybe they will do it with lesser titles in future. But I think you're right, why remake something that's not that good. Would it be better to deal with a 3rd party IP holder and secure the rights to remake a TAF or IJ or TZ - I am guessing people would pay the extra £?,??? that such a licence would add to those titles, to get a brand new remade one.

Yes, I kicked the new in box car out while I was building the room😂
