They did it before with Medieval Madness, the remake came with the LCD on single colour, then you had to pay for a chip to unlock the colour coding. Wasn’t it £200 for LE and £400 for the SE?

You seem to disapprove about any pinball price there is absolutely no point in making the cheeper option if nobody wants it same with gnr it still costs to design and make a cheeper version and if no one wants it you are making a lossReally disappointed there's no classic but really really disappointed you have to pay more for lyman code .... tbh that kind of a joke. I really cant believe they screwed the pooch on this one
Yes but it should be free with the game , making a big deal s as bout Lyman comming then saying that will be extra bud just such a bad look especially at 8k
I think it will be available for any game but I'm sure clarity will emerge soon....upfront? i.e because you needed to have purchased the LE?
for those that have or played MMr, AFMr and MBr. Where would you place CCr on the must have list?
I see it’s ranked 50th on pinside but that could be due to scarcity and folk not being able to play it at home and get a good feel of the games, music and call/outs..
I agree with everything you said, except the Lyman code, this should have been costed into the price, given the original code is already there! You seem to disapprove about any pinball price there is absolutely no point in making the cheeper option if nobody wants it same with gnr it still costs to design and make a cheeper version and if no one wants it you are making a loss
Cgc games are very competitively price much cheeper than a stern le or jjp le well built and built proof with very little issues as I say many times if you think it’s over priced then don’t buy it but then you can’t moan in 3 years time when it’s increasing in value
Again if you want the Lyman code it’s optional you don’t have to buy it I suspect Lyman doesn’t work for free and his costs will need to be covered
Its about the same as MBR for me with the CCC code. with the basic code, its a pretty poor game!
Sorry Neil that’s my opinion and as you have said many times we are all allowed and opinion.Right now with mugs paying 8K for Totan, 8K for a brand new game especially one made as good as CGC make them is a bargain. they could easily have charged more.
why should it be free with the game? You've got the game with fully working with original and extra code. CGC are saying, hey we know you like Lyman, here is an option to get another set of code but it's going to cost you. You can either take it or leave it.
you constant whinging about prices and about it should just be one model (that you think would then be the cheapest model).
CGC have shown that they can distribute software updates twice now with zero piracy so good luck on that one.
if you don't like what CGC are doing - its really easy - don't buy anything off them and get something else!
Yes but it’s also completely sold out so good luck getting one. In this occasion I would say the le was the better bet price wise . The lack of a classic edition is a shame …….. #5secondstillimtoldimbeingdumbbyneilagainat $8k SE and $9250 LE, the LE looks a no brainer.
Sold out? Has it even gone on sale here yet?
So they are saying.
Extra Wizard modes? I cannot even get to the free ones now.......Awesome - paid DLC in pinball! If people don't think this is where Stern Insider is going then you've got another thing coming. I genuinely believe that in the future you'll have to pay extra for things like extra wizard modes, and it's already happening now. Paying extra for code? Seriously?

It’s your choice to download and pay for Lyman’s code. I don’t see it as an issue. By the sounds of it they are going with Scorbit for online content. Guess this will be one of Lyman’s tasks to code this and perhaps go thru the catalog of CGC games offering this.
But we're already paying £7000-odd pounds for a pinball machine and they're nickel and diming CODE! Even if that's acceptable to you, it starts out with alternate code today. Then next year its "Oh we've brought back Lyman to do a Wizard Mode! How cool is that? We're going to not put one into the base game because Lyman's just so brilliant he'd blow it out of the water! By the way, since we've had to bring Lyman back and all it'll be £29.99 thanks!". Then the next it's extra modes, and the next it's an extra multiball for Stern Insider users only! It's already happened to some extent with the Pro and Premium models. I've seen it happen with online games - I used to play free games all the time. Then they started nickel and diming, now it's industry practice and no-one bats an eye for a £2.99 loot crate. Of course I'm not suggesting they'll start adding loot crates to pinball, but if you accept this now - pinball goes down a road of paid DLC, and it won't be pretty. Are you paying extra for Lymans code or saving if you don’t have it? People were guessing $10-11k for the LE, $9k for the SE so they’ve priced it without the extra code cheaper than most expected. They could have just made them the more expensive price and offered the code for free later but they’ve chosen to do it this way, for those who don’t care about the extra code it works out cheaper
