Full movie nerds will know all this stuff.

I am so sick of modern woke media that I have been digging around for films where hiring the best people and giving them the best script was the name of the game.

I stumbled across a youtube channel that recommends excellent/ forgotten/ below the radar/ commercial flop (perhaps as they were released the same week as Star Wars for example) films from mainly the 70s to 90s. A number of these movies are free to stream on YouTube/ tubitv.com/ video motion etc

This is not weirdo/ Czechoslovakian/ dubbed/ never heard of anyone stuff. Robert Duvall/ General Hackman/ Bob Hoskins/ Kathleen Turner etc etc

This guy has done loads of videos on various genres 90s/ bombed at the box office/ neo noir/ obscure/ civil war ...... So you may well find your own zone

Here's a flavour ...

Don't think I have ever seen the full version of the Wicker Man, always thought it was similar in themes to Straw Dogs, don't know why but there's something unsettling about the 70s aesthetic (gritty pre CGI look maybe?) that make them seem more creepy.

As quite a few geezers on here seem to like the original Wicker Person.....

The channel above pointed me towards this Cert 15 film called The Love Witch.. It is weird as f@@@ but has a big cult following. Some draw parallels between it and the Wicker Person.

It's Wicker Person meets Technicolour meets Elvira meets Tarantino meets B movie meets Stepford Wives.

The trailer is very true to the movie. If you like the trailer, you'll like the film - which is free on Tubitv.com

The phrase has been in use for over 90 years.
The current use of the term is used in very different ways as to be meaningless.

And so many of us here are older and think 80’s movies are the best. So picking a 90’s movie was a bit of a joke.
Was a **** joke tbh.
