Hi guys, I have a makita site radio DMR115 that I use for work which is powered by the makita battery packs used in their power tools. Seems to drain batteries fast a 6.0 AH barely lasts 7 hours. But friends with the same radio the identical battery lasts days. It’s not the battery’s as I’ve lent them to workmates with the same radio and lasted fine. When I had about a month left on the warranty I sent it to makita for repair and they fobbed me off. The first time they supposed replaced a component but the paperwork i got back with it said they replaced the carburettor lol as far as I know there is not an electrical component called that is an engine part
. Anyway it was just the same as before. The second time it went back they said nothing was wrong with it but I think they were hoping I’d give in and buy a new one as the warranty was about to end. My question is what component do you think is likely at fault so I can try and replace it myself, what could be causing it to drain so much?
