Does anyone have experience with the backglass not being attached to the glass adequately?

I purchased this earlier this year and it was already like this.
Is there a solution to get rid of air bubbles to make it look better?

That's just condensation/sweat marks surely?

Take off the Translite, remove the frames holding the Translite to the glass.

Clean the inside of the glass with a glass foam cleaner or autoglym fastglass.

If the Translite itself is sticky or wet, clean that with a damp micro fibre cloth. Then buff dry.

Re-assemble, job done?

Also dead lucky to have a Monster Bash, just saying. 😜

Thanks @s000m I'll give that a go mate. It must be historic condensation in that case, it'll have already dried out at mine.

Yes I was very fortunate to find an MB. Sold my original after being skint a decade ago and always wanted to replace it. I love the theme and callouts.

Well @s000m I think your diagnosis was correct, however evertime I replace the artwork to the backglass, I feel it grab somewhere after a couple of seconds and it appears moisture is present.
I might have to put a fan on them whilst separated to really dry it out.

Perhaps the artwork is absorbing moisture. It's a funny one.

Do it on a warm day. Dry the glass and translite with a cloth and then leave it to air for a hour or so for residual moisture to evaporate.

Had a similar issue with my refurb fish tales im just finishing up. Just took it out and dried it off and seems fine since.

Did look at getting a proper mirrored backglass from CPR but with shipping it was about £400 and thats before import duty so hard pass on that idea for now! 😱

Also yep lovely machine you got there!.

I'll be honest and say I don't know what mirrored backglass is. Never seen in real life.
My interpretation is that it would be a proper mirror either artwork overlaid and set behind a protective front glass sheet.
Someone one showed a piccie and I just didn't understand the difference.

not sure of the technicalities but my original AFM has one and its way nicer than then translites or plastic back glass's modern sterns have now.

I ordered an elvira HOH backglass from xianek which has the print directly on the glass, although not mirrored thats nice also. with shipping from EU it worked out allot cheaper than CPR.

Glad you got it sorted. Think of offering me first when you eventually tire of the game!

😜

Mirrored backglass has the art printed on the glass directly with reflective parts mirrored by putting metal on. Essentially how it was done until the nineties, avoiding any condensation problems and showing better detail and colour. Worthwhile for keepers imho.
