BSD shooter tip

In the midst of freshening up my BSD and ordered a set of premium rubbers which came with a rubber shooter tip. There isn't one on the BSD currently and as far as I know it doesn't need one? It has the nylon tip on the end of the plunger.

If you fit the rubber shooter tip it is too long and it slides so far onto shooter it goes into the plunger socket and chafes.

Do I leave it without a shooter tip or trim and fit the rubber?

Thanks Rude - didn't think I did - thing is, the manual identifies a shooter tip in the 'location of rubbers' section.

That's what got me doubting myself
