Hi guys,
Since my lad has been over from oz and playing bsd all the time we have noticed an issue every now and then it will kick out 2 balls instead of 1. Also had the shooter firing the ball without being pressed when we play multi player. Any ideas?

Oh and I'm using the balls that arnt ment to get magnetised. Sometimes when we hit the mist ball they stick together and get taken into the gate. Is it a case of it just not hitting it hard enough or have they actually been magnetised?

What sarge said. Ive had both issues on my drac, mine was the shooter lane trough switch. Plus, Its a pretty hoofy magnet so a feeble ball returning down the playfield will get picked up and orbit the one being dragged across. Tis a pain but doesn't happen very often.

Mine started that tonight too! I'll be investigating over the weekend.

It may or may not have anything to do with the problem but I just found this on the playfield. Looks like the arm off a switch

Been having a look at the two ball in game problem. Apron off and the trough is working fine. The right gate on mist appeared not to be allowing the ball back into the pocket. Bent it up a little and it works now. Ran the mist test a couple of times and get 'power error' and it stops. Exit test and run again. Fine. Run mist test one more time and see the following 'cooling' message - is this normal ?uploads.tapatalk_cdn.com_20160910_88b1cf1e52b248bf1b7db537396e66f3.jpg

No it's definitely Ron, he even admitted in the interviews he did after 'Back Door Missus Electric 69' that he had posed for a likeness in 1993 for a pinball version of Dracula.
Nobody thought he was being serious at the time, but history speaks for itself. Definitely Ron.

Back in your own bleddy thread [emoji13], never had that error. Only prob I've had really with the mist ball was the tiny coil died

Well I'm stumped. Every time mist multiball kicks in the machine freaks out and starts loading another ball in after mist has finished. Two balls in play, one drains and the game announces the ball has drained then kicks another in automatically. I've checked switches and fine. Solenoids all okey dokey.
Tomorrow is another day

Does your machine have LEDs for the GI? These can cause issues with the optos associated with mist.

It does indeed. I'll run mist test to see if opto check finds anything. The search continues

LEDs screw everything up.
Take em out and throw em away. Reinstall 47s and 555s and 89s throughout. Done.

Hi
When i had my dracula the problem I had was mist would work fine but as soon as it was by it would drop a ball from castle lock so two balls in play also at the same time the shooter rod would keep on firing as if to shoot another ball into play after changing optos and switches with no change bought a 10 switch opto board from Great Lakes modular fitted it never had a problem again with it.

Cheers brian.

I hijacked the thread so here's RudeDogg's original post

Think I've got it fixed now third trough switch arm was catching the side of the trough and sticking down. Also the trough out kicker arm seemed to be quite stiff I changed the spring which cured it until I did all 4 screws up holding the cool bracket to the pf, loosened the 2 closest to the bracket about half a turn and works fine. Must pull it into a angle it didn't like. Touch wood so far so good
