Does anyone know what this is called pls (ie brushed stainless gauge xx) ?

Ramp protectors are pretty basic bits of bent metal with two holes drilled in, so I was going to have a pop at making one for funhouse

Thanks

I am on for that kev. Dremel to cut it, soft jaw vice to bend it, flat file to smooth the edges. Famous last words, but how difficult can it be ?

Yes, just a micro version if what ed china does in wheeler dealers!

Getting it laser cut (like Cliff does) can't be that difficult. I found a place in Liverpool that does laser cut steel when I was looking at making mirror blades

I just searched locally for laser cutting and found a company just up the road from me.

Given that I live in the ass end of nowhere i'd be very surprised if there isn't a similar company near to you.

Of course price is probably the issue. I guess Cliffy does larger batches to keep his prices down, hence why he's then selling them onto people.

Was it Tifftech/Blackrow that you foun in GY? We have an account with them and use them for the odd rush job but they are quite expensive and have a £35 minimum order so you need to make sure you order enough to get your money's worth. We tend to use Charles Day steel based in Yorkshire.

Yeah, that's the one Dave.

I expected there would be a minimum order with them as it seems pretty standard at most places. Luckily for me i've already got Cliffy protectors for my R&B. Even got a free t-shirt into the deal too.
