Battery corrosion is serious but at this level not going to be a problem. I'd rather keep the original board in place. It will be cleaned, neutralised, checked for damage and repaired as needed. I've been in the electronics game for 50 years and owned pins for 20 so nothing's new.

I still intend to get another Spike 2 but I've decided that I'd at least like to have one older game which I can rotate. I know it's not WPC old but I've wanted one for a while and it will be nice to learn, have some fun with and tick off the list.
That will take me to maximum capacity with one in the hallway until I extend the mancave

Pics of the 'spare' (i.e. used, but not too badly) playfield.
I've also found the other spare parts .. so it also comes with new repro heart ramp, new repro helmet, and the decals for those. That's about £200 of plastics.
I've concentrated on showing the worst areas on these pics. I'd say the most wear is on the inlane and a couple of details on the body, such as the worker guy. There's some ball swirl in a few places, will probably clean nicely with some melamine foam. Happy to add some more pics if there are specific danger areas you'd like to see.

I offered to pay the asking price in cash or bank xfer and turn up in a matter of hours with a van.

I didn't update the thread because I was stuck for transport and didn't want to keep hyping it until I could check for damage.
I'm collecting it tonight though and Hiltoncriss, who's next in line, wanted pics of the spare playfield.
If that doesn't work out I'll probably bring to Daventry on Saturday but will continue to respect the order in which people contacted me.
