Hi just decided to swap out my system 6 boards to a rotten dog board just to see the difference , seems to have gone on will but I can’t set it to free play , can anyone advise i don t have the manual to hand thanks

im not sure there is a free play option,I have one in my gorgar, but have always added credits by coin,I think I have a manual for it somewhere, but it may take a while to find

Managed to add a credit on the coin door new board plays just the same as repaired originals :) what did I really expect :)

what version of the rottendog mpu are you using?,if its an early version I hope you did the bracket ground mod, before you installed it,otherwise you may have blown a chip,I found this out the hard way, before it became a known problem,I think later revisions of the board were altered so to avoid the problem happening

Must be possible - my cosmic gunfight has one in and that's free play. I recall you set the number of maximum credits to zero with a normal board. should be the same ?
Setting 18 I think

In pre-internet times, I once spoke to a man who'd bought a Black Knight, and it now wouldn't start. I talked him through setting the maximum credit function to zero. The oddest thing was that he hadn't bought it from me; he'd seen and turned down my Firepower, and asked if my F-14 was for sale.
