Hi all

I don't often do this kind of thing as I don't like asking people for money
However, throughout January I’m going to be doing the 100 push-ups a day challenge to raise money for cancer research.
I’m doing this in memory of my family and friends who have died of cancer, and in support of those living with it now and those who will develop it in the future.

This won’t be easy for me. I’ve always had strong legs but weak arms.
So as well as helping this worthy cause I’m hoping I might get some lasting benefit from the challenge too. It may even help me continue lifting pins for a while longer :)
Your sponsorship, however small, or even just messages of support, will help me keep going when I’m finding it hard.
If you’d like to help you can find my fundraising page here https://fundraise.cancerresearchuk.org/page/davids-giving-page-28674418

thanks for reading, and I hope you all have a great 2025

Is that a 100 pushups at the same time or spread throughout the day? 😉

I do 25 a night before bed and always let out a "F**king C**t!" exclamation on the 25th one.

Great effort and great cause, good luck 👍.

thank you for your support 🙂

Definitely not 100 in one go bearing in mind this is virtually new to me!

I did manage to struggle to 25 consecutive, but my latest plan is 15, short break, 10, and to do that 4 times per day. That may evolve if it gets easier 😂

So far so good, but still a long way to go.
I'm trying to add an extra one each day to add a bit of spice.
Thanks to everyone who has sponsored me so far - I'm up to nearly £700 (including gift aid) raised for cancer research so far - would be nice if I could crack £1,000

Donated.

Was that other donation from the real Eddie Hall former Worlds Strongest Man, or has someone been having a laugh?

Passed the half way mark yesterday. The extra one each day means it still feels a challenge even though I think I'm getting a bit stronger.

On the 12th I was at Tilt all day for Big G's birthday tournament, so I had to fit in a few there 🙂

Thanks to everyone for your support so far

Well I did it! And on the last day they all had to be done by 11am as that was when we got chucked out of our hotel room!
And I nearly doubled my fundraising target as well 1f600.png Thank you to everyone who contributed. There's still time for any last minute donations if anyone wants to support this very worthy cause https://fundraise.cancerresearchuk.org/.../davids-giving...
I was really pleased too when people told me my efforts had inspired them to get back into exercising.
For myself, I'm planning to try and keep going with some daily push ups and capitalise on this kick start I've had
