Best place for components?

Where is the best place to buy components?
I have three acid damaged Bally MPU's and after reading some of the posts, I fancy trying to breathe some life into them.

RS is the only real place - the odd bit you can get from Maplins but they concentrate mostly now on selling Taiwanise crap to play with in the garden.

Farnell also - I use Farnell and RS for all my components. I suspect they both have minimum order of £20 to get free delivery.

However, you may struggle to get smaller quantities of some components e.g. capacitors, resistors, in which case Maplin can be a better option.

I think CPC is the friendly face of Farnell - certainly both exist.

Thanks chaps, being impatient I'll try from this side of the water first, I can't afford an alltek so I'm hoping for the best with a repair.

Usually I find eBay a good source for components if you know what parts you are after specifically, failing that Andy @(PM) or Phil @(PH)
carry the majority of items you will probably need.
