Batman Forever vuk problem

The vuk on my BF occasionally will not kick the ball hard enough so it drops back down and sits there. The machine eventually shoots a ball out from the batcave assuming you've locked one in there. If you aint it puts another ball into the shooter lane.
I've replaced the coil and its still the same. It may work fine for 10 balls then it plays up. Could it be the drive tranny on the cpu or the TIP 32 on the ppb board.

There was also a service bulletin from Stern regarding this vuk.
There is a mis-alignment of the wireform on early releases of the game.
The bulletin tells you how to fix it. I had to do it on mine.
