Ballys Hi-Deal “ball index and point tally” problem.

Hi guys, I’ve semi-restoring the Hi-Deal pinball machine from Ballys.

The ball countdown had been working fine.
Now it doesn’t seem to count then down when the ball goes to the out hole.
At the end of a round, it doesn’t tally all the points.
Normally at the end of a round, the machine should tally all the points, extra balls earned, etc, and kick out the next ball, and drop the balls remaining number down on the display.
I haven’t done any major tinkering; just:
-Led light swap
-new fuses
-flipper restore
-disconnected the play field several times
-disconnected the score board several times
-sanding, painting, exterior work.

I can manually press the “ball index” solenoid and it energizes and one the ball goes to the outhole it works as normal, but it doesn’t reset again.

Help, please help me trouble shoot this problem, thank you!

I feel the need to recap:
Ball 1 never ends.
Ball goes in outhole and kicks out again, continuing the round, even after scoring a lot of points.

It's most likely dirty or corroded switch contacts and I'd start by looking at the outhole switch first. Also worth inspecting the jones plugs and giving those a clean as well

Thank you.

I removed and cleaned all jones connectors and reattach and the game worked good right after.
