So I now have 3 pins being restored at the same time, 2 Vectors and 1 Medusa. I really had no intention of buying a second Vector but I was made an offer I couldn’t refuse - £700 for a Medusa and a Vector!

I have no intention of keeping two Vector pins, so this one will hopefully be traded or sold if I can’t trade it for something I’m after.

The Good:
1. The playfield is in really good condition.
2. It’s pretty much complete.
3. It boots up and plays (without displays).

The Bad:
1. Fuse keeps blowing on the Solenoid board.
2. Cabinet and backbox need various repairs.
3. Both backglass images are trashed!

intresting to see the main cabinet appears to have been painted over a previous game, apparently this was quite regular for bally to do that at the factory if they had left over cabinets according to a post I remember reading on pinside, unsure what game that artwork is from, perhaps someone else can tell

I read somewhere that Bally had lot's of spare Elektra cabinets resprayed into Vector.

Both my pins seem to have blue underneath the areas of paint that have been worn away - so I guess that would make sense 🤔

If you have 2x vectors in need of refurb, you are in a rare and fortunate position. In your shoes I would take every "better" part from the games and make the best one you can. Best coin door, best plastics, best drop targets, cleanest boardsets ......

Put the rump game on ebay/ gumtree and flog it.

Unlike most Ballys from this period, vector backglasses are usually perfect. Unusual to see shredded ones like this.

Backbox light holder panel stripped of rusty staples and sanded.

Managed to buy a pair of replacement Vector backglasses from Facebook for £50.

I’ve been waiting ages for a pair of replacements to pop up somewhere. The 3 hour drive from Bristol to Hastings was definitely worth it!
