Greetings all,
Ok, so I'm having a problem my Bally Vector. The bottom left saucer kick out coil (solenoid number 2) is locking on when I turn the machine on.
So I just threw caution to the wind and ordered a new coil from France and after installing the coil still locks on.
So now I'm guessing it wasn't the coil or the diode at fault...after reading about bally coils etc it looks like either Q5 transistor is blown on the solenoid driver board or something else is causing the short.
Not good with a soldering iron so if anyone can confirm or suggest anything I would be grateful..
Dave.
