should be in the manual,I would of thought,do you need the pdf of it?,you can grab it off the ipmdb

I thought the manual had the default settings too, but just scanned VECTOR and GOLD BALL and game feature switch settings are just described liberal or conservative.

I don't think Bally printed a 'factory setting' diagram for the DIP switches - the only place I've seen anything on those lines was a chart in the backbox of old-time Stern games like 'Ali' and 'Seawitch', which showed the factory settings (with the coinage switches left blank) and had the space to record two 'operator changes'. Seawitch also listed on the back of the instruction card(s) the conditions for the card, e.g '3 Ball Conservative', and the switch settings needed to match the conditions stated.

Depends on the game you want to set. The manual is a bit all over the place, rather than having a neat single table, but recommended settings are in there for a 3-ball or 5-ball game. 12 of the switches relate to coin chute settings anyway, so are probably irrelevant for home use.

the manual is not very helpful on switch settings
its all over the place

I have not opened mine up,as it is buried behind boxes of crap whilst we decorate another room ,but are recommended settings not on the cards stapled inside the head?

I don't think there are default dip switch settings

I just downloaded the manual from the web. The dip switch settings are dotted about the manual, which is not very helpful, but it is not a big job to locate them all. The settings controlled by the test menu (ie the sequence that lets you test switches, solenoids, displays etc) are also dotted about all over the place

The thing to watch out for is that some settings (critically - the sound and speech, also - extra ball thresholds, special ....) are actually accessed through the test menu using the button inside the coin door. You then use the game start button to adjust your options. I think that one of the coin detection microswitches also can be used to adjust or zero some of these

thanks for all replies and i forgot about the settings on the cards stapled inside the head
thanks for the heads up literally:thumbs:
