I was going to have a rest after almost full time refurbing, but I really got the bug, and, this one looks the worst in the lineup, so needs sorting:

The cabinet is dirty, worn, scruffy and with some deep scratches down both sides of the main cab. Legs are rusty, coin door needs a refurb and clean, as do side rails and backglass lift.

The playfield is generally good, but with bubbling mylar, i may have a go at removing that, but not sure yet. The plastics are good. drop targets all replaced and it’s been rerubbered, so this really is a cabinet project.

I need to get the side rails off carefully for reuse as they are unavailable, the rhs has two flipper button holes.

Will start tomorrow stripping out the cab.

I pulled the mylar on my similar era vector. The mylar was already lifting, there was a sticky "edge" to it. After a few beers I just went for it.

Turned out really well,.but could have been a catastrophe.

You pays your money, you pulls your mylar.

Good luck

Cabinet repairs today, it’s been based about a bit, backbox is falling apart in places.
Time to deploy two of my favourites:

Filled the major holes, now to tackle the coin door, it’s in pretty good shape, but needs a clean, polish etc.

more sanding, getting smoother…..

rain stops play. so i think i’ll have an afternoon off. there is a local wine shop a couple of miles away where you can drink in by the glass as well as full bottle take home sales. Fancy a session there in prep for tonight’s football 🍷 🍛 ⚽

Really enjoy watching your workshop threads.

But keep asking myself, and it's the most precious thing of all..... how the hell do you have so much time? Very envious! (and sadly still haven't got round to building your reel clock yet!)

Keep the updates coming

Chris.
