Having had ij4 & BDK I have not seen this beforeIMG_20161126_182603939_HDR.jpg
What are they for ?
Do I need them ?
If so where can I buy a replacement one?

I accidentally broke one ,I temp repaired it by cutting the glass lamp down at the base and soldered it back on
Been on stern site and not much help:eek:

They're on a few games with motors. I think it is to show if the motor is being operated (when you have the playfield up you can't see the motor operating).

The disc capacitor is there to soak up radio/line interference from the motor. The lamp (neon) is there as a simple current drain should the motor short-out or overload, e.g., if it were to get stuck.

It is important, else the pinball beancounters would have left them out! :)

That does explain why they both have a quick flash at the end of the cycle

Now where can I buy a replacement one chaps ?

Perhaps someone has one on a scrap motor as you usually get one with a new one.
I do have a old IJ4 motor ,thay look identical with the same voltage etc etc ,but do not have them too components on it

All good now ,going to order some now ,thanks Andy
