Will needs numbers up front for those interested in coming to the traditional Friday night get together at the Chinese - After the major work of setting up the machines in preparation for opening on the Saturday morning, it's a great chance to unwind and drink some beer

Cost is around £15 per head, the food is great and the good news is that it's all you can eat

Unlike last year, you wont be able to just turn up on the night as there is already a major party booked at the restaurant. If booked early enough, the restaurant do have capacity to accommodate the 60 of us who turned up last year, so get in early with your requests!

Please PM me to book your place, Will may require a deposit closer to the time.

Bring it on. Keep those spare ribs coming and plenty of beer to wash them down.

Put me down as a deffo Nic.

Great food, but if you want something to yourself, try to order something that no-one else has ordered on the table, because if another person orders the same thing they tend just to bring one portion, and let you fight it out.

Not on our table Andy, We had three shreaded ducks with pancaks and the like and plate fulls of spare ribs as well as loads of other stuff. Yum Yum.

I agree mr netherwood! That table started spinning and I couldn't stop it in time to get what I ordered , but nice food

Hi Nick,

can you put me down - thanks, John (guess I better tell the wife I'm sneaking out for the weekend)

All 13 people who have asked so far are booked in, please can someone post a link to the group as well so no one is missed out

Thanks

Sadly I won't be able to go to the meal this year as I have to be in Cornwall on the Friday.

Still hoping to make it for saturday and maybe Sunday.

Wonder what's happening in Worthing that weekend then. That travelodge is already full on 14th April :-(

To be fair i would prefer the local hotel anyhow that we stayed in last year. Anyone know if Will has sorted out anything with them again?

That prompted me into action about getting somewhere booked

I'm in the Grand Victorian next to the railway station  Has anyone stayed there before....is it alright?

Errrrr........Will and I sometimes stop in here for quick happy hour beer. 'Quick' and 'happy hour' being the keywords

Its a typical near station boozer. To be honest ....I'm not sure I'd want to sleep there

I just spoke to Will - he is hassling some other hotels today to try and thrash out a group deal. Keep you posted

I stayed there last year, and I agree with GrizZ, it's not a particually nice place to stay.

You'll have to keep pushing past all the punters puffing away in front of the bar doorway to get in and out of the hotel. I ended up queueing at the lively bar, alongside some of Worthing's "finest" in order to book in and get access to the main part of the hotel on the first night. My room wasn't too noisy, but I imagine some of the bedrooms directly above the bar would be awful. The breakfast wasn't too bad, but not very generous.

I have managed to book into the Travelodge this year for the show. Ended up playing more than I planned for Saturday, but was able to get a cheaper room for Friday night.

I think a lot of us were in the Burlington last year. Apart from them screwing up the bill (i have to say they were good enough in correcting it once shown it was incorrect) then it was ok. Good bar, rooms were perfectly acceptable, price was reasonable (there were three of us sharing!).

No hurry with the hotels Will - i dont get paid till 25th so wont be able to afford bugger all till then!!!

Saying that, (since this has turned into a general thread instead of a food thread) the food at the Chinese was very nice, tho there wasn't enough of it by a long way..!!

Cheers for the info on the hotel,

If Will sorts out a better hotel that I can get a room in then I'll cancel that one. Not too worried about the state of the place tbh as I'll probably be drunk or asleep when I'm mostly there. At least I've got a backup place sorted

I'm thinking 'Yes Please' for two, but I need to confirm plans with Rav first. Not even considered where we're staying yet. Also, January has been the month from hell so far...

We need final numbers for this now. So far, I have the 11 people who said yes in this thread and Will has another 5 or 6. Going to be a quiet one then

If you don't let us know in advance, you wont get in this year!
